1. RG3 aka Robert Griffin III
2. Montee Ball
3. Trent Richardson
4. Andrew Luck
5. Tyrann Mathieu
RG3 has done the most with the least. Baylor's football team has never been worth talking about and now he has put them on the map. He's had big games in the biggest games.
TCU-359 yards and 5 TDs
Kansas St-346 and 5 TDs
OK st-425 yeards and 1 TD
OK-479 yards and 4 TD's
He threw for almost 4000 yards, 72.4 completion %, 192.3 QB rating, 36 TD's and only 6 INTs, that's amazing. Those are heisman numbers.Plus my final factor, he said he should win the Heisman after his last game. Now that takes balls.
Andrew Luck had 3170 yards, 35 TD's and 9 INT's 167.5 QB rating in the PAC-12 which has always been known for not having defense. Being the number 1 NFL prospect doesn't make you a Heisman candidate. I don't even see why he is even in the top 4.
In his big games...
USC-330 yds and 3 TD'S
Oregon-256 yds and 3 TD's and 2 INT's his worst game of the year.
Trent Richardson- had a great season but doesn't even have as many yards nor touchdowns as Montee Ball.
Montee Ball should be the closest to the top. What he has working against him is he just didn't have the same publicity as everyone else for some really messed up reasons. He's not in the SEC and he wasn't really full time until game 2 or 3, which makes the numbers he put up even more amazing. Him having Russell Wilson though was the only deciding factor for my vote. Its easier to put up those numbers when you can't stack 8 in the box because you have the 3rd best QB in college football in front of you.
5. Tyrann Mathieu is on Defense. He made some great plays in special teams and Defense but this is more of an offensive award. I bought into Charles Woodson just because i liked him better than the other guys and he played offense and defense. Mathieu doesn't play O at all and the final factor, he was suspended a game for smoking weed. That's enough to not top my list.
