What is the real reason why the media is targeting Mike Vick?

WHAT IS THE REAL REASON WHY THE MEDIA IS TARGETING MIKE VICK?!?!?!?!?!

Why is the media so quick to try to run Mike Vick out of town.  Is it not enough he is a celebrity that went to jail for 2 years for Dog Fighting, when we have people like George Zimmerman walking around free on bond for killing a unarmed 17-year old.  So we keep hearing about how Mike Vick is having this terrible season because he has sooooooo many turnovers. (13) Well let's look at the numbers...
  • Philip Rivers has 16 turnovers.  (9 interceptions and 6 fumbles) 6 fumbles from a QB that doesn't run is incredible
  • Mike Vick-1632 yards, 8 TD's-8 Ints vs Phillip Rivers- 1492 yards, 10 TD's,9 Ints
    •  Andy Dalton, media darling,12 Turnovers
    • Brandon Weeden, 11 Turnovers
    • Ryan Fitzpatrick, who just got a huge contract also, 12 Turnovers
    • Tony Romo-11 Turnovers
  • Mike Vick on and off the field are humble and likeable personality according to players and coaches. You have never heard any player speak out negatively about his personality.  Phillip Rivers on the other hand, is known as a brash, trash talker.  He is a love em or hate type of guy. (I actually love em) Search for quotes about him if you don't believe me.  Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey said: "I don't really care for the guy, first of all. He's not a respectable guy right now because you talk too much trash and do this and that, but you're really not a great player in this league right now. You're surrounded by great players, but you're not a great player. I think he needs to understand where he stands in this league -- where he stands on his team first and foremost."
  • Mike Vick as a starter the last year and this year-10-9 vs Phillip Rivers during the same time 11-1
Matthew Stafford, who threw for 5000 yards last season is having a very tough season even though they were predicted to improve.  The side of the ball that is supposed to be great, the offense, has taken steps back.  What do we hear about this????? Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Mike Vick just got his 2nd $100 million contract.  So what is he doing with his money.  Doing a google search you would think he is being frivolous with this money.  On ESPN.com and Yahoo.com a week or so ago I saw articles titled, "Michael Vick has spent $29 million since filing for bankruptcy"
So of course I'm thinking like any other person would be thinking.  "Really Mike, you didn't learn from last time?  Yet, when you open the article this is what you actually read..
  • Reports state that Vick had to pony up: $10.9 mil to taxes, $9.2 mil to creditors, $2.7 mil to lawyers and accountants, and $6.8 mil to miscellaneous living expenses, including child support.  That gives us the grand total of $29.6 million spent – leaving Vick with only about $1.5 million left.
I'm sorry, but when did it become a story when someone is actually doing what you are supposed to do.  Pay what you owe.  But we can't make this article sound like this from the title, we have to title it, Vick spends $29 mill in 4 years.  Are you serious?!?!?!?!

So let's listen to quotes from guys who are a part of the media but are former players, a little more credible and knowledgable to what causes turnovers instead of just trying to create a story...

Kurt Warner-Just like what players and coaches do during the bye week I studied some film to see what is causing Mike Vick's turnovers.  His turnovers come from 7 step drops where he is being forced to hold the ball and his protection breaks down and from plays where he runs out of the pocket trying to make a play.  He is a play maker and his natural instinct is to try to make a play when it's not there and things like that happen.
Warren Sapp-You can see on the film the defensive players are not hustling or were playing for Juan Castillo.
Michael Irving-When the defense is not playing well and puts you in bad situations, your offense tends to have to pass more and take chances.  Mike Vick is a play maker and has to try to make plays which will lead to turnovers when you are playing from behind and trying to come back.

So why is the media trying to have Nick Foles play?  They love to attack certain players for whatever reason.  Look at Cam Newton.  The analysts are frankly mad that they were wrong on Cam Newton.  They are upset that he had such a great year last year and their egos were hurt by this.  Now that Cam is having such a bad year this year, they are piling on.  But wait, is Cam having that bad of a year?

Cam is his team's leading rusher and 2nd leading rusher last year. He is on pace to pass for 3700 yards and run for 728 yards.  These are good numbers for a 2nd year QB.  The team is losing because the team is not good.  They have 2 overpaid running backs and one very overpaid defensive end that has 1 sack.  This is why they fired the GM.  The media loves to attack certain QB's for SOME REASON.

What is the thing Cam and Mike have in common besides being targeted by the media.  hmmmmmm??? I'll let you decided.

Lakers to acquire Nash for trade exception

The LA Lakers are close inking deal with two time All Star Nash for their trade exception. Fitting Kobe with his first big time point guard ever. Now can the Lakers salvage their relationship with Gasol or will they try to still move him to somewhere like atl for josh smith

NBA Season Review and Picks for the Finals

I have to say this has been an ugly, ugly NBA season.  The lockout and greed of the NBA, squeezing in too many games in too little time has lead to terrible basketball.  I'm not going to bother looking up stats because anyone that watched the regular season and playoffs can see this is not an acceptable product.  Compare this to the NFL where the biggest difference was the defenses took until the playoffs to catch up to the offenses.  So what did we get, one of the worst teams of all time (Bobcats), another scoring title from someone that didn't avg 30ppg, and just overall bad shooting.

Speaking of the Brooklyn (inside joke), the Bobcats better lay down the red carpet for Jerry Sloan.  If Sloany is trying to coach next year, this is a good pick seeing that he won't have the same issue of a superstar idiot trying the run the show (Deron Williams and Dwight Howard).

Speaking of Brooklyn, Dwight has to be the biggest puss in the history of the NBA, overtaking LeBron.  What kind of man is he?!?!?!?!? First he signs a year option to stay with the team, knowing damn well he doesn't want to be there, than he lies about asking for Stan Van to be fired.  Now I'm not saying she should come out and say she asked for him to be fired but just don't say anything at all.  SMH man.

To my picks, OKC Thunder should beat San Antonio in 6 at the max as long as Westbrook doesn't avg 5 turnovers a game.  Timmy just doesn't have it anymore and you can't rely on Parker especially with him having to spend energy guarding Westbrook.  Harden and Ginobli will cancel each other out.  This leaves Durant who loves the big moment and will go off in at least 3 games.

The Heat will take Boston in 6 at the max.  Boston can't take advantage of the Heat's weakness, which is no decent Big man.  Boston is just too old and Rondo hasn't been going off like his usual self.

Heat vs Thunder for the title.  Tough tough pick. This will go 7.  If Bosh doesn't play, the Thunder will wear out the Heat.  If Bosh plays,  I will say Lebron just wanting it more than anyone else will carry the Heat to a 7 game series thriller.

If this is the Lakers' Future, Our Best Days are Behind Us.

Incident after incident plagues one of the most immature 24 year olds walking the streets of L.A.  So now after the L.A. Lakers Game 3 loss to the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs, Andrew Bynum says "I was just not, I guess I don't know, maybe just not ready to play." Are you kidding me?!?!?! Seriously?!?!?! Can anyone contact Andrew Bynum and remind him this is the freaking NBA playoffs.  Than the reason why he wasn't ready, it has to be coaching, game planning, an emergency.  Let's pull the quote.  "I got there a little late," Bynum said of his Pepsi Center arrival before the Lakers practiced at a gym connected to their team hotel on Saturday. "So, I probably didn't have as much time as I needed. I was able to refocus to not let the first half bother me," Bynum said. "So, that's what it's all about. Just going out there with a sort of fire, and I had that in the second half."

This guy's gotta be joking right?!?!?!  I guess this is no surprise with the last few idiotic things he has done.
  • Andrew Bynum gets benched for taking a 3 in a game, so instead of taking it like a man what does he do. Pout on the sideline, and makes quotes like this, “I don’t know what was bench-worthy about the shot, to be honest with you, I made one last [game] and wanted to make another one. I swear that’s it. I guess [coach Mike Brown] took offense to it and he put me on the bench."  “I guess don’t take 3’s is the message. But I’m going to take some more,” Bynum said. “I just hope it’s not the same result. I hope that I make it.”
  • Bynum has missed 160 games in his first 6 season already.  Avg 26 missed games a season.  Oh yeah Mr Reliable.
  • This is only his second season averaging double digit rebounds.  One big year does not a superstar make.
It is time for the Lakers to pull the trigger on a trade of Bynum.  Hopefully it will be for Dwight Howard, who's biggest issues is he wants out of Orlando.  Something's gotta give and it needs to be the Lakers.  This kid isn't ready to be the man.

Speaking of Brooklyn, why the hell is Gasol standing out at the 3-point line.  I mean if he is going to do that, why not the top of the key.  He can't shoot 3's so he is no threat in the corner like I keep seeing him stand.  The top of the key would be fine for post entry passes, but he is frequently in the corner.
